APPLICATION FOR DIPLOMA & UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMME

• Applicants should submit his/her application through an online application system administered by the Bahagian Pengurusan Kemasukan Pelajar (BPKP), Jabatan Pengajian Tinggi, Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi Malaysia.
• The important dates and the procedures for the online submission will be announced by BPKP through their website / printed media/electronic media every year (usually in November) for the next academic session’s intake.

• Applicants can submit applications directly to UTeM by using this application form.
• Applicants may submit an application to the University of Technical Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) at anytime through out the year. However, applications received by UTeM ON or BEFORE June 30 will be accepted for admission in the current academic session and applications received after the date specified will be accepted for inclusion in the next academic year.

APPLICATION FOR POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMME

1. Application must be submitted online via http://portal.utem.edu.my/ismps/
2. For programmes by coursework, a completed application form should be submitted before the advertised closing date. However, applications for research programmes are open throughout the year.
3. A completed form should include the following :-
   a. TWO (2) copies of a recent passport-sized photograph
   b. TWO (2) copies of certified an Identity Card
   c. ONE (1) certified copy of SPM/MCE/Diploma/Degree and other Professional qualifications
   d. ONE (1) certified copy of academic transcript
   e. The processing fee of RM30.00 in the form of a Postal Order/Money Order/Banker's Draft payable to the "Bendahari Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka"
   f. A Letter of Guarantee from your sponsor (for those under scholarships/sponsorships)
   g. A Preliminary Research Proposal with the maximum of 5 pages (applicable to application for Master's By Research and all PhD programmes. Example of research proposal 
   h. A permission letter from your employer to pursue your studies on a full time basis (only applicable for those who are employed). Otherwise, you are required to opt for a part-time programme.

1. All international students are required to register as Full-Time students at UTeM and should have the financial capability to meet the course fees and living expenses for the full duration of the programme.
2. The medium of instruction and research for international students is English. Hence, international candidates must have a minimum TOEFL score of 500 for Masters and 550 for Doctorate, or a minimum IELTS score of 5.5 for Masters and 6.0 for Doctorate.
3. Application must be submitted online via http://portal.utem.edu.my/ismps/
4. A completed form should include the following :-
   a. TWO (2) copies of a recent passport-sized photograph
   b. TWO (2) copies of certified passport
   c. TWO (2) copies of certified an academic transcript
   d. TWO (2) copies of certified Degree and Professional qualifications
   e. The processing fee of RM60.00 in the form of an International Banker's Cheque payable to the "Bendahari Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka"
   f. A letter of financial support. A self-financing international applicant must provide an acceptable letter of financial guanrantee from his/her banker or relevant financial institution.
   g. A Preliminary Research Proposal with the maximum of 5 pages (applicable to application for Master's By Research and all PhD programmes. Example of research proposal
   h. A letter of certification from the respective Ministry of Education verifying nationality and academic qualifications of an applicant. For an international student applying within Malaysia, the certification letter can be obtained from the Embassy/Consulate/High Commission of the applicant's home country situated in Malaysia.
   i. Academic transcripts and supporting documents must be certified as true copies by a senior public official from the applicant's country or from Malaysia.
