As a tertiary engineering education institution, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FKM) currently offers academic diploma programmes to train the people in Mechanical Engineering. The existing diploma programme is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Council (ETAC). The duration of the diploma programme is 3 years. The medium of instruction and reference materials are in Bahasa Melayu and English. In teaching and learning, FKM has lecturers and researchers who are experts in their own field as well as having wide industrial experiences. In the future, it is expected that most of the academic staff in each department are fully qualified academically and professionally. The diploma program is supported by all academic staff who are also involved in undergraduate programmes.
